\nHoewel Chrysler US ook al garen beschikt over een moderne V6 verkoopt het door
\nhet succes van vooral de Dodge Challenger-Charger- Jeep en RAM modellen relatief
\nveel zware VS modellen, met als grootste hit sinds 2015 de Hellcat uitvoeringen
\ntussen de 700 en 800pk, welke financieel aantrekkelijk zijn maar het CAFE cijfer
\nzeer nadelig be\u00efnvloeden. Oorspronkelijk werd dit nog grotendeels opgevangen door
\nde compact modellen met 4 en 6 cilinder motoren, maar sinds deze modellen niet
\nmeer gemaakt worden ( productie te duur in Amerika } bleven alleen de
\nge\u00efmporteerde Fiat 500 modellen over voor een gunstig effect op de CAFE normen.
\nHelaas de Fiat 500 modellen hebben nooit het volume gebracht waarvan men
\ngedroomd had, de verkopen zijn elk jaar teruggelopen.
\nHet probleem wordt gedeeltelijk opgelost doordat vanaf dit jaar diverse grote slurpers
\nnu ook leverbaar worden met een hybride systeem.
\nNu is het probleem tijdelijk opgelost doordat FCA een slimme ( betalende )
\novereenkomst heeft gesloten met Tesla zodat de wagens van dit merk nu meetellen
\nvoor de CAFE. Het contact kan zelfs misschien nog verder uitgebreid worden als de
\ngeruchten bevestigd worden dat FCA de nieuwe europese fabriek van Tesla in de
\nbuurt van Berlijn zou bouwen. Niet onmogelijk gezien de ervaring die Fiat door de
